Arrival

My Dad told me that after landing in Madrid I would feel the same way that I felt after my old cross country races. I was not nearly that tired after landing in the Spanish Capital. The non-stop flight to Madrid was a delight. It was like a sleep over on a plane, complete with food and movies. And, like any sleep over, no gets very much sleep. I am glad that my original flight was cancelled. I missed a gay-pride fest in Spain and I got to go to a bridal shower on Saturday and meet many interesting people. The others, who have been here since Thursday, know the city better than I do. I ask them things about and they know, I would not want pressure on me to show someone around this city.
I must admit that Madrid is nothing like I had pictured it in my head. It fits my mental picture of Bogotá or another South American city. People drive very fast here and I have seen a lot of motorcycles. I will keep everyone posted as I experience more that this city has to offer. P.S. I wish my friend Craig was with me here. The Spanish women are beautiful
