Packed!

My bags are packed, my copies made, my homework done, and all of my forms filled out. I have two more days of work to get through.
This trip always seamed as such distant thing; packing my bags made me realize how close it is. By this time next week, I will be in Spain. I still want to go, and I will love not life guarding. However, the magnitude of this trip is getting a bit scary. Starting Thursday, I will be on my own in a foreign country. I have never even flown by myself before. There will be other people from my group with me, some of which have never even been on a plane, but on Thursday, my parents will drop me off at Hartsfield-Jackson and for the next five weeks I will be on the other side of the ocean
I hope my classes are not too hard, I hope that I get to meet a lot of interesting people, and I hope that nothing bad happens. I want to make the most out of it. I want to have a kick-ass time and find a new perspective on my life. When else am I ever going to be able to just spend five weeks in Europe with no one to answer to? .

This is a blog that I have created to let all of my friends know about my trip to the Iberian Peninsula of Southwestern Europe. On June 28th, I will be leaving my home in Atlanta, Georgia and flying Newark, New Jersey. From there, I will cross the pond and arrive in Madrid, Spain. Posts will continue at that point in time.
Enjoy,
